Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 11, 2026

This policy explains what data FoeSight collects, how we use it, and what rights you have under US and EU privacy laws.

For service usage rules and contractual terms, see our Terms of Service.

1) Who we are

FoeSight provides a page-monitoring product for teams that track public website changes. For personal data covered by this policy, the data controller is Velich Holding B.V., established in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 97566373. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@foesight.com.

2) Data we collect

Account data: name and email address (including when you use Google Sign-In). For Google Sign-In, we receive only basic profile information needed for authentication and account setup.

Workspace and monitoring data: URLs you choose to monitor, country settings, change summaries, notifications, and related workspace preferences.

Email and communication data: email delivery metadata and message content needed to send service emails (for example, verification and invitation emails).

Billing data: transaction history, billing address, and payment method type. Card numbers and bank account details are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers.

Technical and usage data: IP address, request timestamps, browser/device basics, and security logs used to run and protect the service.

Local browser storage: limited product preferences (for example selected organization/workspace) and lightweight favicon cache data.

Cookies and similar technologies: we use essential cookies and similar technologies needed for account login, security, and core product functionality across foesight.com and app.foesight.com. If we enable non-essential analytics cookies (including Google Analytics), we will request consent before placing them where required by EU/EEA law, and we will provide a way to withdraw that consent.

Data sources: data you provide directly, data received from sign-in providers you choose (such as Google), and technical data generated when you use the service.

3) Sensitive data

FoeSight is not designed to collect sensitive personal data (special-category data under GDPR) and we do not intentionally ask for it. If monitored public pages contain personal data published by others, that data may appear in captured page content at your direction.

4) How we use data

  • Create and manage accounts and workspaces.
  • Process payments and maintain billing records.
  • Run page monitoring, diff detection, and notifications.
  • Send transactional emails (verification, invites, service notices).
  • Secure the service, prevent abuse, and debug operational issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

5) Legal bases (EEA/UK)

  • Contract: providing the service you request.
  • Legitimate interests: service security, reliability, and product operation.
  • Consent: where required by law, including for non-essential analytics cookies.
  • Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose data to comply with law.

6) Third-party processors and sharing

We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including:

  • Google for authentication (OAuth profile basics such as name and email).
  • Amazon SES for sending transactional emails.
  • Web-data infrastructure providers for fetching monitored public webpages on your behalf (URL and region context only).
  • AI model providers for generating change summaries and classifications from monitored page content.
  • Stripe for payment processing (card payments, iDEAL, and SEPA). Stripe receives billing details and payment credentials directly; card numbers and bank account details are not stored on our servers. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger/acquisition transaction.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7) Google OAuth disclosure

If you sign in with Google, we use Google account information only to authenticate you and operate your FoeSight account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or other Google user content. You can revoke FoeSight access at any time in your Google account permissions.

8) International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as contractual protections and equivalent transfer mechanisms.

9) Data retention

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security records, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and account status.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data within the timelines required by law, except where retention is required for legal, fraud-prevention, or security reasons. Backup copies may remain until they are rotated out.

10) Your privacy rights (US/EU)

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. EEA/UK users may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent and may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.

US state privacy laws may provide rights to know, delete, correct, and appeal. Because we do not sell personal information, requests to opt out of sale/share can still be submitted and we will honor applicable legal requirements.

To exercise privacy rights, email contact@foesight.com with your request and account email. We may request verification details before completing a request and will respond within applicable legal timelines.

11) Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data in transit and at rest, including access controls and monitored infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is fully risk-free.

12) Children

FoeSight is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

13) Contact us

For privacy requests or questions, contact: contact@foesight.com

14) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy over time. We will post the current version on this page and update the effective date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice in-product or by email.
